| Note | Although we still have several high quality giant Epitonium scalare to work through, as I am offering many unique and exceptional giant-sized shells in this auction, I have decided to offer this month the LARGEST specimen of the JES Collection. At the incredible size of 74.8 MM, (virtually 75 mm), and of exceedingly rare QUALITY for such monumental size, this is the BEST giant scalare I have ever seen. Retention of original massive operculum. A real ‘museum piece’ of conchology for the dedicated collector of giant-sized shells, and a shell literally beyond belief for anyone who has never witnessed a scalare of this magnitude first-hand.
