| Note | F+++/GEM. THE PHILIPPINE “MAGISTER”. This shape has been depicted twice in the literature. This specimen stands out for its excellent pattern, its fresh appearance and the nuances of warm brown. Apart from a very small growth spot, fortunately in the white spot at the top right and difficult to see, it is a gem. The shape Magister is more elongated than the classic C. crocatus, which is broad-shouldered at this size. It is possible that molecular studies in the future will show that this is a separate species. Very rare with such a beautiful pattern. HYPOTYPE in the twin books: 1000 shells, exceptionals from the Philippines.
