F++. FILICINCTUS IN VERY NICE QUALITY. One of the Conus in the world which are rare, even in fine quality. This specimen has a saturated coloration. This is not the classic voluminalis or a macarae. It has been described from the far south of the Philippines about 100 years ago as “filicinctus”. This is a nightmare species for quality, the majority of the shells are very dead and eroded here or there, damaged lips and/or with growth lines. This is a dead collected but very fresh piece with good colors and not without an aesthetic appeal.
