| Note | F+++. SO MANY SHELLS APPEAR ONLY ONCE ON THE MARKET TO DISAPPEAR FOR DECADES AFTERWARDS. And this is the case with much of the material from the Somalian trawlers that brought such a nice quantity of conchological treasures to Italy at the end of the last century. Occasionally such material resurfaces from collections, as this is the case of this splendid sample of the endemic species "bozzettii" named as such after the Australian dealer often seen on shell shows throughout Europe. Most bozzettii at the time of discovery, around 1988, were in poor quality, and most are also entirely white. This is a better quality piece, the only defect I can see is the filed lip, but thegeneral shape and the strongly colored central band are fantastic. Rapidly changing from rare to very rare, this Conus is going up in value as there are none for sale in general.
