Tesselliconus tessulatus - INDIAN OCEAN , Born, 1778
Size
57.8 mm
Locality
Madagascar
Note
F+++. It’s still surprising that after so many years nobody came up with a name for the Indian Ocean tessulatus with the sparse flecks. In order to distinguish these east African shells from the central Indo-Pacific ones as found in the Philippines. But not only the flecks are different, the size is also surprising. Look at this piece with a very nice pattern.
