| Note | Very heavy mature contraria collected from a geodia sponge in 86 metres of water south of Israelite Bay during May 2022. Israelite Bay is situated on the western margin of the Great Australian Bight.
Unspotted off white shell with very faint horizontal banding. It has a China white base with flared cream margins with fine dark spots.
It has a dorsal growth fold and a small re-glazed and healed chip in it's posterior siphon. Very heavy shell. Fine+/Fine++. |
