Very pretty slender kostini collected from a white sponge in 195 metres of water at the head of the Perth Trench to the northwest of Rottnest Island during April 2025.
Exceptional dorsum with tan spots bifurcated by a strong mantle line bordered with rows of darker tan spots. the posterior siphon has been chipped at some point in the shells life and the animal has healed the injury with additional nacre.
It is dead collected crabbed shell in very near alive condition. There is very minor nacre deterioration on the shells columnar side. Fine++.
