| Note | This magnificent, enormous specimen, was collected over half a century ago, during the old days of New Caledonian availability. Yellowish-ivory ground, mottled with innumerable rich chestnut maculae, coalescing in several places to form regions of minimal melanism, along with background pale bluish lavender maculae. Incredibly SOLID and HEAVY, with massive marginal and ventral callosity. Exemplary quality for this form, with far fewer and less prominent typical, fully glossed nacre inclusions than usually seen. Well-curated over the decades, with now fully stable colour, and thick resplendent gloss. No longer collected, and extremely difficult to obtain at this size and quality now, coming only from choice old collections.
