| Note | A large and richly coloured specimen of this endemic Marquesan ‘classic’ species. Hypermature, with great weight and solidity; and fully formed, deep rose-pink apertural denticles. Perfectly cleaned, with all substrate encrustation removed. Difficult to obtain now with such size, colour, and beauty. Data: Haaotupa Bay, Nuku Hiva, Marquesas Islands; upon reef substrate, amongst rocks/rubble; 36 m; dived; 1998. Size: 84.4 mm. Grading: Fine++; w/o. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne. |
