| Note | Large and beautifully hued reddish/violet/peach pink Atlantic Ocean conch from South America. Phenomenal color on this conch. The specimen exhibits an intact protoconch, spire and siphonal canals. The shell shows a wonderfully and astounding violet pigmented spire, perfect protoconch, and strong axial ribs. Taken by lobster net off Recife-Permambuco, Brazil at 35 meters in 2018. There are no visible growth folds on the dorsal body whorl or defects on the posterior siphon. There is self repair of the anterior siphon that can be seen on ventral images. Grade: F+++. |
