Rhombuniopsis fultoni,is an extinct freshwater mussel endemic to Lake Dianchi in Yunnan Province. This mussel cannot survive in rivers; due to the decline of species in the Rhombuniopsis genus over a century ago and severe pollution in recent decades, no living individuals of this species have ever been recorded. This specimen was collected from the sedimentary silt in the lake basin.
