| Note | A magnificent GIANT specimen, exhibiting extremely rich colour, and exceedingly well-formed lacunae. Hypermature, with pronounced ventral callosity. NOTE: Iredale arbitrarily selected a large specimen to serve as his exemplar of ‘zadela’, but makes no mention of size being a key characteristic of his subspecies. Thus, the notion of BIG cribraria automatically being ‘zadela’ is incongruous. Data: Camotes Sea, off Calituban, Central Visayas, Bohol, Philippines; upon coral sand/rubble substrate; 10-20 m; dived; 2017. Size: 37.5 mm. Grading: Gem.
