| Note | An extremely large specimen of the ‘red’ colour form, exhibiting an exceptional pattern, formed with the utmost regularity. Mature and heavy for size. Very minor smoothing to apertural lip, and restricted loss to anterior. A product of the 1980s Queensland trawls, and now obtainable only from old collections. Data: Capricorn Channel, East of Lady Musgrave Island, Queensland, Australia; upon sand substrate; 180-200 m; trawled; 1983. Size: 49.1 mm. Grading: Gem. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne. |
