| Note | An exceptional, ultra-large specimen of the beautiful Maldivian form, from a very rare locality. Spectacular purplish grey margins, with numerous large chocolate maculae. Equally spectacular ventrum, with pronounced deposition of shell material, and thick, translucent gloss, creating an appearance akin to heavy, polished glass. Superb, dense, intricate dorsal pattern. Hypermature, with pronounced marginal callosity, and great weight and solidity. Rare quality. Data: Off Hinnavaru, Faadhippolhu Atoll, Republic of Maldives; upon coral reef substrate, under coral ledge, at night; 6 m; dived; 1994. Size: 65.8 mm. Grading: Gem.
