| Note | This OUTSTANDING specimen of the RARE, almost never offered KANGAROO ISLAND form, exhibits exceedingly rich and beautiful colour, in conjunction with a pattern of the highest aethstetic merit. Fully mature at this small size, typical of the form, with greatly thickened, ‘rolled’, and glossed apertural lip. The locality is now protected as the southern Kangaroo Island Marine Park, and no fresh specimens will be available in future. Undoubtedly lacking in many of even the most advanced Volutidae collections. Data: Off southern coast of Kangaroo Island, South Australia, Australia; upon sand substrate; 1998. Size: 83.6 mm.
