| Note | A superb GIANT specimen of this very seldom offered endemic north-eastern Australian species – one of Australia’s largest and most spectacular landsnails. The specimen was collected almost half a century ago, such specimens now being obtainable only from choice old collections. Impeccably curated, with beautiful, fully stable colour: alternating bands of rich caramel and chocolate. Rare locality. One restricted area of loss to apertural lip is the only reason for a ‘Fine++’ grading. A rare opportunity for the advanced land snail specialist. Data: Norman River region, Gregory Range, Great Dividing Range, Far North Queensland, Queensland, Australia; upon soil substrate, amongst leaf litter, after rain; 1977. Size: 62.6 mm. Grading: Fine+.
