Its quintessential characteristic is its exquisite pale, dusky PINK ground – completely different to the nominate subspecies. Now virtually always from old collections. A true opportunity for an advanced Cypraeidae specialist to secure this extremely rare subspecies, at a cost of their own creation. Data: Off Anse a la Mouche, Mahé, Seychelles; upon sand covered coral reef substrate, under small coral slab; 4-5 m; dived; 1988. Size: 18.1 mm. Grading: Gem.
