This species can reach large sizes almost 180mm in Central America, in Mexico this species are much smaller south from Baja California, really hard to get them alive, this here was found with the animal and it has a impressive yellow vivid colors inside the valves. The shell shows a clearly multiple tiny radial ribs all around going from the umbo to the lips with elegant white- yellowish colors and exquisite pink colors in the lunule, escutcheon and lateral teeth sides.
