NoteExceptional endemic species from the Colombian Andes. The extensive loss of original humid and cloud forests in this region has rendered specimens of this species increasingly rare and highly desirable. This outstanding example is distinguished by its striking lower band with alternating white and black coloration, a thick black outer lip gracefully fading into violet, and a perfectly preserved apex. An atypical white ring on the flank further elevates this specimen, making it a truly unique and unrepeatable piece. Minor periostracal abrasions on the dorsal surface are present but do not detract from its overall beauty. A premium collector’s specimen, personally collected among leaf litter in a humid forest at 1,550 meters above sea level in March 2025. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for serious collectors.
