NoteLOTTIIDAE - Lottia stanfordiana (Berry, 1957). MONSTER ULTRA RARE SIZE WITH EXTRA WIDE FORM AND SPECTACULAR COLORS WOOOOW!! The biggest I have ever collected with the widest special and unique form. Monster size with 32.2mm long x 28.5mm wide. Look at this crazy color combination starting from the lip with white-brown spotted pattern then a thick and the most rare dark Jade green color band after that a light bluish cream color with light cloudy golden brown coloration and at the end a large exquisite brown unique spot. Magnificent extra wide rare shape. The Dorsal side is coming naturally with light erosion on top as usual for this giant sizes with dark green-brown and little white spots around the lip side most. With multiple axial ribs all around combined with dark brown color and white large and micro spots, really exquisite. The Apparently feeding on the marine soup that comes and goes with the currents, waves and seaweeds attached to the smooth stones, this species lives where the waves break and in the intertidal zone. Really hard to remove from stones without braking them. Found attached to the rocks with green and brown algae at extremely low tide. Playa El Tecuan, Jalisco, Mexico. October 2025.
