LOTTIIDAE - Lottia stanfordiana (Berry, 1957). EXCELLENT UNIQUE DENSE AND DOMINANT BROWN COLOR FORM!! Spectacular dense brown coloration all around combined with small white flashes like tents making of this a great effect for this wonderful masterpiece. This is the highest selected and seldom seen conditions you can get for the species with extremely intact and excellent natural quality. With multiple axial ribs all around combined with dark brown color and white micro spots, really exquisite. The ventral side shows a cloudy, glossy and light bluish color form. Really hard to get so intact and so beautiful. The Apparently feeding on the marine soup that comes and goes with the currents, waves and seaweeds attached to the smooth stones, this species lives where the waves break and in the intertidal zone. Really hard to remove from stones without braking them. Found attached to the rocks with green and brown algae at extremely low tide. Playa El Tecuan, Jalisco, Mexico. October 2025. Value for this extra brown dominant brown color between the micro white elegant tents and bluish light ventral color: 22-25 euro. Good luck and Happy shelling!!! MEXICO PACIFIC
