Note

Hyper-mature, hyper-glossy, and exceptional representative of this highly sought after Zoila species. The basal and dorsal pattern begins to approximate those commonly seen in friendii specimens, especially vercoi. The melting integrated four shades of brown/nude pigmentation on the lateral walls along with the transverse vercoi-like patterning is extraordinary. Hence, the sub-classification intermediate, The shell features remarkable black/brown lateral walls with a moderately heavy weight/size ratio and beautiful base pattern ((50.9 grams). The specimen displays modest tuberculation on the labral margin. The mottled dorsal maculae pattern and radiating dorsal hues are classic. Harvested by Scuba diver at 25-40 meters on sponge off Eyre/Eucla overlap zone, Western Australia. EX: Don Pisor. The shell does exhibit nacre blisters on both posterior margin tips. Grade: F+++.
