Note
Small shallow water subspecies from the Dunsborough population presenting a shorter, inflated body with pronounced extremities and spire. An exceptional and now rarely encountered impressive midget specimen with a two-tone brown base with a distinctively unique dorsum blotching pattern, complemented by a striking broad dorsal line. The specimen shows moderate to high rostration and a unique and rarely encountered display of unusually formed labral dorsal maculae. The dwarf cowrie shows excellent nacre gloss with perfect extremities and base. EX: Don Pisor. Taken at 1-2 meters by diver on a sponge among in an eel grass forrest off Dunsborough, Western Australia in the 1990s. Grade: GEM minus.
