NoteOne interesting specimen of Fissurella limbata. Large specimens of Fissurella limbata are ALWAYS covered with Scurria scars (at least one in each specimen). They are rather rare and difficult to obtain. This species, as all the other large Fissurella species, is actively collected by fishermen so they often have nicks, chips, and damage on the border of the lip. A low initial price for a rare species.
