NoteSolid, glassy nacred example of a highly collectable anatomically superb guttata subspecies. Marvelous and anatomically wide form with prominent teeth and ribbing (stripping) complementing the extremities and light camel brown margins. Heavy for its size (13.8 grams), its a standout surinensis that shows an excellent dispersion and balanced array of diffuse smaller dorsal white spots. The ascending dark stripes provide a beautiful anatomical contrast. The thick nacre on this particular specimen is extraordinary. Captured by local fisherman while trawling at 80-120 meters off Racha Islands, Phuket, Thailand on rock/sponge substrate in 3/2013. The shell exhibits no visible defects. Grade: GEM.
