NoteLUCINIDAE - Codakia distinguenda (Tryon, 1872). SPECTACULAR PINK-YELLOWISH COLOR FORM!!! Uncommon species in Mexico and virtually hard to get with inner coloration like this with pink-yellow. This species can reach large sizes almost 180mm in Central America, in Mexico this species are much smaller south from Baja California, really hard to get them alive, this here was found with the animal and it has a impressive yellow vivid colors inside the valves and rich dark pink elegant and exquisite color. The shell shows a clearly multiple tiny radial ribs all around going from the umbo to the lips with elegant white- yellowish colors and exquisite pink colors in the lunule, escutcheon and lateral teeth sides. Exceptional beauty. Do not miss this unique beauty with the best top conditions. Gem minus. Found inside small cave under a big muddy stone about 5m deep. Isla Toriz, Melaque, Jalisco, Mexico.
