THE LONGEST FINGERS EVER WOOOOOW!! SIPHONARIIDAE - Siphonaria palmata (Carpenter, 1857). The longest fingers this species can reach. Look at this Black marvelous glossy masterpiece ventral side with white outline lip fingers. So fresh gloss ventral black dark-brownish colors. Incredibly beautiful piece with a special light flat shape and unique sculpture. White long axial elegant ribs forming the extended seldom seen fingers. A very interesting species that in many cases remains in the same place all its life, forming together with the erosion on the stone the exacted figure of the shell outline. Exceptional conditions for the species!! The best selection for the species. Erosion as usual on the top of the shell not detracting the beauty. F+++-F++. Apparently feeding on the marine soup that comes and goes with the currents, waves and seaweeds, this species lives where the waves break and in the intertidal zone. Really hard to remove from stones without braking them. Found attached to the rocks with green and brown algae at extremely low tide. Islotes los Lobos Marinos, near Melaque, Jalisco, Mexico.
