NoteWhilst using the ROV we come across some very dead shells laying on the bottom which we refer to as “rocks”. Some of these are collected rather than discarding them. This shell has totally lost its nacre and is severely eroded. I offer it as I believe there are collectors who would appreciate the specimen despite its poor condition. The shell has been oiled with paraffin oil to gain an idea of the shells original colour. The oil can be removed by washing in hot soapy water. This jeaniana was collected from 54 metres of water west of Red Bluff during May 2025. Heavy mature shell with intact siphons. Dead Collected Shell.
