One of my favorite Clausiliidae species in China mainland. Overlipped bulges can be clearly viewed at the lip, which I assume is for forming a gap between the shell and mud, which provides more space for it to breathe. It is interesting that its lower palatal plica and subcolumellar lamella forms an extremely strong keel for breathing, which is barely seen in Asian Clausiliidae.
