A MAGNIFICENT OYAMAI WITH A GIGANTIC OPENING AND A SPONDYLUS ON THE BACK. In this specimen, the callus around the opening is outstanding, forming a circle, and on the lip this callus has an undulating shape: like rays of sunlight spreading outwards. The colour of the shell is a warm, light orange-brown, which is repeated at the edges of the aperture callus. The inside of the opening is white in colour. On the back of the shell is a cute young variegatus. A combination of great rarity.
Spondylus variegatus = 35 mm.
