Remarkably globular and inflated, superb large well-patterned specimen with strong posterior/anterior marginal tubercles and marginal flaring. Interesting and beautifully dispersed array of dorsal spot patterning with flawless extremities, base and exemplary dorsal nacre gloss. The shell shows modest rostration and exceptional form and symmetry. The specimen also features a strong weight for it's size (28.2 grams). Taken by Scuba while feeding on red sponges at 20-25 meters off Hopkins Island, Port Lincoln, South Australia in 3/2012. The specimen is exquisite except for a notable growth disruption fold/crease encompassing the entire labral lateral wall as viewed in upper images of the collage. Grade: F++.
