NoteC. margarita; lisetae maricola; globulus … ? … This beautiful, ultra-delicate species came from extreme deep-water in the central Philippines several years ago, and requires some research in order to determine its correct taxonomic placement. Perhaps most closely related to C. margarita, but there appear to be some differences. Completely smooth dorsum. Markedly inflated globose form. Fine and translucent. Thick, high gloss. Pale straw, with nebulous spiral bands of slightly darker colour; caramel accents to terminals; pure white dentition. A highly interesting specimen for an advanced Cypraeidae specialist to research and determine. Data: Off Panglao, Bohol, Philippines; upon sand/mud substrate; 150-200 m; tangle netted; 1994. Size: 17.4 mm. Grading: Gem. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
