NoteTaken from a geodia sponge in 129 metres of water west of Margaret River in October 2025. In the area west of Margaret River in 120 to 130 metres of water we find huge variation in the friendii population with shells that vary from being very kostini like to those that are very similar to inshore friendii. They have huge diversity in both colour and shape. A pale vercoi shaped shell with fine tan spots on a pale dorsum, white base & white spotted sides. Collected dead but in live condition, Graded Fine+ due to a dorsal growth irregularity and an Octopus drill hole to base and labial side. Collected from the same location as Auction Item #4038347.
