Zuytdorpensis is a new form of ketyana described by Felix Lorenz and Marco Chiapponi. The description was published late in 2024 in Molluscan Science Volume 6.
In the area west of the Southern Zuytdorp Cliffs and to the east of Big Bank is a populated by dwarf rosselli and ketyana. This is northwest of Kalbarri. This form of ketyana we find in the same area as we collect praeclara off the southern Zuytdorp Cliffs. They are consistently small with pepper spotted dorsums and bases that vary a great deal in colour.
This specimen has a creamy pink dorsum with sparse fine tan pepper spots and a vibrant orange base. Ketyana from this location are rare. ROV dead collected from sand in 76 metres of water. A nice shell in hand, with a little nacre erosion and a broken siphon.
