NoteAn OUTSTANDING, VERY RECENTLY LIVE-COLLECTED specimen of this diminutive, RARE, endemic MARQUESAN species. PERFECTION. ‘As live’ colour: rich orange-ochre dorsal ground, with well-formed lacunae; spectacular white, highly glossy margins, decorated with ultra-large dark chocolate maculae. Characteristic markedly well-developed marginal callosity, with equally hyper-developed callosity corresponding with marginal maculae. A rare opportunity to obtain an ultra-fresh specimen to maintain under careful curation. An exquisite jewel for the Cypraeidae connoisseur. Data: Off Hanavave, Fatu-Hiva, Marquesas Islands; upon reef substrate, under coral slab; 22 m; dived; 2025. Size: 17.3 mm. Grading: Gem. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
