NoteA MAGNIFICENT, ultra-spherical GIANT specimen of the GUAM FORM of the nominate subspecies – the LARGEST and FINEST of the JES Collection, and one of the best I have ever encountered. PERFECTION. Markedly attenuated terminals. Spectacular ventrum, with four large, equidistant, roughly circular dark chestnut maculations. For the advanced Cypraeidae specialist whose collection yet lacks a ‘BEST of the best’ specimen of the Guam form. Data: Off Facpi Island, Hagat, Guam; upon reef substrate, under coral slab; 12 m; dived; 1996. Size: 21.5 mm. Grading: Gem. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
