A magnificent, large-sized specimen of Chelycypraea testudinaria ingens from a prestigious private collection (1950-2010). This shell is defined by its extraordinary "snowy" aesthetic; a dense constellation of brilliant white speckles covers the rich chocolate-mahogany dorsum. The heavy, solid base is remarkably adorned with an unusual abundance of ivory-white spotting that extends across the ventral surface, reaching almost to the labral margins. Collected in August 1971 by a native diver in Zamboanga, Philippines. It boasts a superb mirror-like nacre gloss and a powerful, inflated silhouette. Weight: 86.0g. Grade: F+++/GEM.
