Note

A very attractive specimen of Zoila friendii friendii from a private collection (1950-2010). This shell is characterized by a very sharp, well-defined apex and beautiful spiral formations at the spire. The dorsum displays a rich, dark chocolate pigmentation with scattered white flecks over a lavender-cream base. The margins are elegantly curved, leading to a clean, high-gloss ventral surface. Collected "on sponges" near Albany, this specimen represents the classic morphology of the species with excellent nacre quality. Weight: 25.0g. Grade: F+++/GEM-.
