Monetaria moneta Shell with Unusual Wide Shape This is Monetaria moneta, a shell known as "sea money," but with a very interesting variation in shape. Unlike its typical oval shape, this specimen has a wider, slightly rounded, plate-like shape. Its surface is glossy with a combination of light yellow on the edges and grayish tones in the center.
