Stunning, very pretty and exceptional bataviensis. Dive collected from a geodia sponge in 54 metres of water west of Horracks Beach during the 1990'ties. Bataviensis were collected in reasonable numbers in the past but now no one is diving for them and very few are being collected. They were always difficult to obtain but now a shell of this quality is rare. Graded Fine+++/Gem- due to a minor irregularity to the very top of dorsum.
