GEM+ Not a rare species but one of the most difficult species to perform such world class level of cleaning perfection. Many hours were put in for careful cleaning together with decades of urchin cleaning experience put forth. And here we are, the one and only specimen with full apical disc intact, periproctal membrane fully intact, and most importantly, every single tubercles are completely cleaned and without any left over ugly muscle tissue. Every single tubercles are perfect and totally intact. This is a lovely female specimen with the characteristic enlarged gonopores. All the 5 auricles are totally perfect and intact. Very nice colour. Taken at night on coral reef in 1m deep, 28 May 2002. I graded it GEM+ because it is not possible to find any better specimen or good well cleaned specimen than this.
