Uncommon cowrie. Electric white body and strong dorsum nacre gloss underscore this specimen. The species is closely related to Naria lamarckii, and may be a subspecies rather than a valid species. The shell was collected by diver at 15-20 meters under rubble on muddy bottom and weeds off Lau, East New Britain, Papua New Guinea in 1961. The specimen shows some mild dorsal wobbles and a loss of nacre loss on the columellar aperture. Grade: F++/F+++.
