A superb large specimen of the Victorian form of this endemic southern Australian species, exhibiting a spectacular dense, bold pattern, of high aesthetic merit. Ultra-rich colour. RARE QUALITY for the species, Victorian form, and locality, with PERFECT, fully mature, greatly thickened apertural lip. No longer freshly collected from this locality, and now obtainable only from choice old collections. Data: Port Welshpool, Gippsland, Victoria, Australia; upon sand substrate, at extreme seasonal low tide; 1984. Size: 83 mm. Grading: Fine+++. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
