Note

Rare endemic species from the Colombian Andes. Owing to the extensive loss of the region’s original humid and cloud forests, specimens have become increasingly scarce and difficult to secure on the market. This shell is distinguished by a well-defined basal band with alternating black and white coloration, a thickened black outer lip (peristome) gracefully fading into violet, and an overall highly attractive chromatic pattern. The apex is well preserved; the dorsum shows visible growth lines, and there is a partial loss of the columellar wall—features entirely consistent with natural conditions and not detracting from the specimen’s aesthetic or scientific value. Collected among leaf litter in a humid forest at 1,550 meters above sea level, March 2026. A desirable Andean specimen, ideal for advanced collections—an excellent opportunity for the discerning bidder in international auction.
