Uncommon and superb specimen of this highly sought after Tasmanian subspecies. The shell is an outstanding live collected shell with perfect siphons, base and remarkable nacre gloss. Captivating shape, colour and phenomenal spotting of this normally inherently flawed species underscore this desirable specimen. A rare opportunity to include this infrequently offered shell to your collection. The shell was live collected by a Scuba diver at 15-20 meters while dining on its favorite food sponge in a silty reef system. The shell was located in the D’Entreacasteux Channel, off North Bruny Island, South Eastern Tasmania in 3/2017. The shell shows some subtle mini creases of the columellar dorsum, micro point/flush sand inclusion on the lateral wall and a mini silt inclusion in the mid-labral aperture teeth. Grade: F+++/GEM minus.
