THE REAL MAJESTIC JEWEL WOOOOW!! LOTTIIDAE - Lottia pediculus (Philippi, 1846). A few between many with such a great intact conditions, the real Jewel. The shell displays the most wide and extended circular fingers all around with so elegant wide radial ribs going from dorsal to lip with white bright coloration between the black background shows a radiant striped effect pattern. The ventral side exhibits the most remarkable pattern and glossy white color with banding effect form dorsal, the middle has a light brown -black color spot. Really the best intact conditions for the species, even with the light erosion on top as usual. Gem-F+++ This species are really attached only in the craziest places where the waves and currents are absolute Strongs and dangerous. Apparently feeding on the marine soup that comes and goes with the currents, waves and seaweeds, this species lives where the waves break and in the intertidal zone. Really hard to remove from stones without braking them. Found attached to the rocks with green and brown algae at extremely low tide. North from La Calechosa, Bahia de Cuastecomates, Jalisco, Mexico.
