A superb specimen of the Victorian form, exhibiting very SUBCARNEA-LIKE morphology, illustrating the ancient affinity between these two species. Exemplary quality for the species. Beautiful subtle colour: pale dusky cinnamon dorsum; yellowish ivory margins, with multitudinous dark caramel maculae. Not freshly available from this locality for over two decades, and now obtainable only from choice old collections. Data: Port MacDonnell, Limestone Coast, South Australia, Australia; upon reef substrate, under slab at extreme low tide; 1986. Size: 22.1 mm. Grading: Fine+++.
