NoteThis incredible GIANT specimen is only * mm under the official World Record Size of 141.45 mm, and is of exemplary quality for this delicate, trawled, rough habitat, deep-water species, incorporating retention of the amazing, glassy, oversize protoconch – very important for the connoisseur. A product of the legendary 1980s Queensland trawls – never collected since – and now obtainable only from choice old collections, and almost never at this size and quality. Data: Capricorn Channel, Queensland, Australia; upon fine-grained sediment substrate; 80-100 m; trawled; 1983. Size: 114.2 mm. Grading: Fine+++; w/o. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
