NoteOne of the FINEST specimens I have ever offered of this now extremely difficult to obtain form of this endemic South Australian species. RARE QUALITY, with PERFECT apertural lip and siphonal canal. Superior pattern, in which the ‘two spirals of large crescentic spots’ are particularly well-developed, and well-formed. Beautiful colour. Ultra-high spire. Not freshly collected for many years, and now obtainable only from choice old collections. NOTE: The form name is often incorrectly spelled as ‘lunisligata’, omitting the required ‘-ul-’ of the original description. Data: Off Point Bolingbroke, Eyre Peninsula, South Australia, Australia; upon sand substrate, amongst ribbon weed, at night; 18 m; dived; 1996. Size: 115.5 mm. Grading: Gem. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
