NoteAn exceptional large specimen, exhibiting beautiful, ultra-rich colour, in conjunction with a pattern formed with the utmost regularity and clarity. Very few specimens exhibit a pattern as well-formed as that of the current example. Although somewhat available during the 1970s-1980s, the species has long ceased to be collected, and has become difficult to obtain, with examples coming only from old collections. Data: Luangki, Boang, Tanga Islands, Bismarck Archipelago, Papua New Guinea; in lowland tropical rainforest, upon tree branch, after rain 1974. Size: 32 mm. Grading: Gem. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
